If speed is the new currency in golf, TaylorMade’s Qi4D family of Drivers just arrived like a bank vault dropped onto the tee box.
Every now and then, a product launch shows up that doesn’t just tweak what came before, it flips the whole script. That’s exactly what TaylorMade’s new Qi4D driver family does. With four models - Qi4D, Qi4D LS, Qi4D Max, and Qi4D Max Lite, this lineup isn’t just “the next driver.” It feels like the start of a new chapter in golf tech.
And the headline? Speed. Lots of it.
TaylorMade built the Qi4D around a simple idea: make the driver easier and faster for every golfer. It starts with the carbon face, which is lighter and quicker than titanium and now tougher than ever. That lighter face helps create more speed, but it also delivers more consistent results across the whole surface. Bottom line: those off-center hits we all secretly pray no one saw? They should fly a whole lot better.
The underside of the face also got a boost with a redesigned Speed Pocket™. Basically it's a built-in forgiveness booster that helps keep ball speed up on those low strikes. Pair that with the 60X Carbon Twist Face™ (a Tour-trusted design that straightens out your heel and toe misses), and you get a driver that protects your swing instead of exposing it.
But one of the coolest parts of the Qi4D launch has nothing to do with the head, it’s the new REAX™ shafts. TaylorMade studied millions of swings (yes, millions) and discovered golfers fit into three swing styles: Active, Balanced, or Hold. So they built shafts tailored to each style. During a fitting, one face-on swing video is enough to figure out which category you belong in. It’s fitting made way easier, and way smarter.
And each head in the Qi4D lineup brings its own personality.
Qi4D offers all-around speed and tuning options.
Qi4D LS is the ultra-fast, lower-spin option.
Qi4D Max adds huge stability with adjustable weighting.
Qi4D Max Lite brings lightweight speed for players who want effortless power.
Tour pros have already jumped on board—Scheffler, Rory, Fleetwood, Korda, Hull, Henderson—the list is stacked. TaylorMade didn’t just create another driver. They created a faster, smarter, easier-to-fit system built for real golfers and real swings. Speed rules the modern game and the Qi4D is built for it.
