Vokey Design SM11 Wedges

If you care about hitting it closer, stopping it faster, and choosing wedges that actually fit your short game, the new SM11 lineup is absolutely worth your attention.

When a new generation of Vokey wedges arrives, the golf world pays attention, and for good reason. Year after year, they’re the most played wedges on the PGA TOUR, and not by accident. The new Vokey Design SM11 models continue that legacy with a familiar approach...improve contact, dial in flight, and maximize spin. But this time, Titleist has built an even more complete lineup designed to help more golfers play the right wedge setups, not just the pros.

At the heart of SM11 is something Bob Vokey has preached for decades, everything starts with clean contact. These wedges offer the most expansive loft, bounce, and grind matrix in the game, with 27 options across six proven grinds. Whether you sweep it, dig it, open the face, or play it square, there’s a fit designed to help you find the sweet spot between grooves two and five. And when you find that strike, you unlock what SM11 was built for: better flight, better feel, and predictable spin.

One of the biggest upgrades in SM11 is how consistent the wedges now feel across the set. Previous generations varied slightly in center of gravity (CG) positions depending on the grind, but SM11 eliminates that variable entirely. No matter the grind you choose, the CG sits in the exact same position for each loft. That means more consistent trajectories, cleaner transitions, and fewer surprises, even when you mix and match grinds throughout the bag.

The CG also progresses naturally through the lineup. Lower lofts (44–52) transition cleanly from your irons and stay neutral on full swings. Mid lofts (54–56) strike a balance for sand play and controlled approaches. High lofts (58–60) move the CG higher and more heel-ward, helping you flight the ball lower with more control on touch shots. It’s a thoughtful detail you can feel immediately.

Spin continues to be a Vokey calling card, and the SM11 lineup raises the bar again. Three different groove shapes (narrow, mid, and wide) are tuned to the needs of each loft. There’s also 5% more groove volume for improved spin retention from the rough and in wet conditions. Add the new directional face texture and high-frequency heat treatment, and you get wedges built to maintain their bite deep into their lifespan.

Players who love their options will appreciate the additions this year. The .06K Grind, fresh off winning both the PGA Championship and The Open in 2025, joins the retail lineup. A new 44.10F fills the gap for players who prefer a Vokey style pitching wedge with stronger lofting needs. And the high-bounce .12K lob wedge gets a cleaner spec that aligns with what fitters already loved about its real-world performance.

The finishes remain classic with Tour Chrome, Nickel, Raw (custom only) and Jet Black returning in a more refined, more consistent look.

SM11 isn’t about reinventing wedge design. It’s about perfecting it. And for golfers looking to tighten up their scoring clubs, this lineup offers the depth, the fitting precision, and the tour-validated performance to actually make a difference where it matters most.
